CAN-Parse is a simple, powerful phone app. It is one tool for monitoring the signals on any CAN network in human-readable form, by loading files for each network module at runtime.

Adjust the settings within the app to select the correct baudrate, name the bridge, or apply a filter.

Things To Know

Things to Know: 1 Seat Per License

  • Each license lasts for 1 year, but can be renewed at a reduced price
  • Each license only works on 1 device at a time
  • Log in online to register a device with a vacant license
  • Unregister a device within the app to log off and vacate the license

Things to Know: Useable Offline

  • After an online login with a license key, offline login is available
  • Offline login becomes unavailable 2 weeks after last online login
  • Offline login will remind user of the time of the next required online login

  • Do not use this tool without having access to a master shutoff switch

Quick Installation Instructions

Download and Install

Follow the steps below to install CAN-Parse to an Android phone. (~2 min.) 

  1. Download the .zip file to an Android phone
  2. Open the "My Files" app, go to Downloads, and find the file called CAN-Parse.zip
  3. Click on the file to unzip it
  4. Open the unzipped folder, click on the CAN-Parse.apk file, and open with "Package Installer"
  5. If not already granted, grant the "Install Unknown Apps" permission for "My Files" to install apps from places other than the Play Store. This permission can be found by searching "Install Unknown Apps" in the Settings app. This permission can be revoked immediately after installing CAN-Parse
  6. Click Install, and complete the App Scan, to confirm the app doesn't request improper permissions. Click Install when complete
  7. Open CAN-Parse
  8. Enter the License Key (received by email after purchasing a license) and Login Online
  9. CAN-Parse is now fully operational
